I was subbing the other day for a junior high LIFE class. The life kids are either disabled or have a lower IQ or some sort of learning problem. There was a girl there that I had to walk down to the bathroom. The other teachers already told me she started her period for the first time that week. She is totally obsessed with it. I can imagine it's scary for someone who can hardly grasp what it means. (It was scary enough for me and I understood it all). Anyways... in the bathroom she tells me she has a secret. (after calling me annabell - I told her my name several times that day). She said "I have a pyramid". It was all I could do to keep from cracking up! I will now refer to it as a pyramid. It sounds so much nicer, doesn't it? :)

Always a daddy's girl...

We had a great time on Saturday night! YAY for birthdays! :) We ate yummy seafood and then went to Red River. I didn't have to buy any of my own drinks! And we got to sit in the "VIP" section (there isn't really one, it's just up on a little stage next to the band). It was a great time!

I have been sitting here for over an hour watching celebrity poker. I'm so lame. :) I have no idea why I am enjoying watching this so much. I guess it's ok though. It's my birthday celebration tonight. I can do what I want today, right?!? Even if it is watching celebs play Texas Hold 'Em on tv. :)

I got my nails done today. Well, I just got a manicure and pedicure. Not acrylics or anything. Anyways... I have girlie hands again. YAY!!

My birthday is in 3 days!!! I will be a whopping 27 years old. 27 doesn't really feel old to me. I don't feel any older than I did when I was about 22 (and apparently I don't look it either) 27 was always the milestone when I was growing up. It was the one age that just seemed old to me. I have no idea why I picked 27. It's not really old. But as a kiddo, it was something I would never reach. And here it is, just around the corner. I'd better make the most of it :)

Anybody want a pair of brown toe socks? I had gotten them for a "friend" and they actually said NO THANKS. Is that rude to say no thanks to a gift? I kinda thought it was.
Rockfish made me feel ick all day. Not sure why. Maybe I just ate too much. I was supposed to go watch Dodgeball at Duke's that night but had to cancel. We ended up hanging here and going to eat at Waffle House...which was surprisingly yum. I had to pay for dinner :) Nice date, huh? Apparently Waffle House only takes cash. IT'S 2004 WAFFLE HOUSE... WAKE UP! Anyways. I got reimbursed a $20 after (I made a $4.00 profit) woohoo. So that was fun.
It rained this morning. That means the sun did not shine into my curtainless windows at 6:30. I got to sleep in!!! :) :) :) I am off to buy curtain material today. I have never sewed anything, but it can't be that hard, can it?
I have a HUGE to do list. I love writing lists and haven't in a while. So I wrote all the stuff down and it's two pages. woohoo :) I love long lists that I can cross stuff off of.
Off to meet mom and Timmy (bro) for lunch. Mexican... mmm.

Going to Rockfish for lunch today! Yum. I can't wait!

Ok guys. Here is a warning... lots of pics coming up :) The package that came in the mail:

The dogs....

Bambi (she likes the hello kitty stuff):

Sleepy Bam:

Ok. A guy from the internet just signed on and starting chatting with me. He then said he has been dating a "couple" and he decided that he likes the boy better. He doesn't like the boy, just likes how he feels with the boy. And he keeps asking me questions and telling me things about how he is so embarassed. Ok. Why is he telling ME? Why do people sign on here and share their lives with me?
Because.... drumroll (direct quote from him)
i needed to tell someone and i know you are into counselling etc..
So because of that... I get to hear everyone's problems that I have never even met? And for free. So I can't find a counseling job, but all the nutties on the internet sure want help. It's a big free-for-all for them. Dang. Well, at least I get some practice I guess?(and this text turned red... no idea how to get it back to black) Sorry :)

I got the coolest thing in the mail!!!! Pics to come ;) It made my day!!! I love Nunya. She is the COOLEST :)
Why is it that people always ask "you're so cute/beautiful/awesome... why are you single?" How do I answer that? I have never had a good reply. Usually it's just because I broke up with someone recently. But really.... what can I say to that? Because the boys I have met can see how CRAZY I am already? I do realize it is flattering and is supposed to be a compliment. I will definately take all that I can get! :) That's just a hard one to answer because usually they do stand and wait for the answer. Any clever ideas??

I heard a song today that brought back a memory of a guy I dated in college. He was always cracking me up, which is probably the most important quality a boy can have. He called one day and I asked him to call me back in 10 minutes. Almost immediately he called back and asked if it had been 10 minutes. I just thought that was the cutest thing ever. (I was perhaps biased at the time). Weird how things will bring back random memories. Raspberry chapstick brings back feelings of Christmas for some reason :)
Anyways... had fun with Jenn. Got the rest of Sex & the City. Can't wait to watch them! We also did a little shopping. Woohoo :)
I think we will probably just go to TrailDust for my bday. Any other suggestions? Anyone want to join us? ;)
Hope everyone has a smurfy Wednesday!

Sunday, August 08, 2004

Dang it. I just wrote a whole post and then it just disappeared. Boo. Anyways. Why do people feel the need to ask me every time about my job hunt? If I wanted to tell you about my job hunt, I would. There is no need to bring it up every single time. Does it make you feel better to know you have a job and I don't? Do you want to remind me that I am a jobless loser? Does that make you feel better? When I get a job, believe me, you will know. EVERYONE will know. I will hire a damn skywriter to let everyone know. Does my job status help make YOUR day any better? What business is it of yours? And when I say I haven't found one, what makes you think I want to chat about why. Or discuss other options? Damn. Leave me alone about my job. I know I need one. I don't need you telling me I need one. Or reminding me. Leave it alone. Grrr.
Makes me mad. Grrr.

Well, Saturday night came and went. I now have one less friend. Ahhh... what a great way to spend a Saturday night. (notice the words dripping with sarcasm)
It was partially redeemed. Greg, a friend from high school, met up with me and we went to IHOP. Yum. He also hooked up my DVD and VCR to my TV since I am semi-electronically challenged and couldn't figure it out :) He got to pick the movie so we ended up watching "She's All That". Such a cute movie.
So the night was ok. It's kinda sad to learn who you thought was a "friend" turns out to not be a very good one. They just didn't show up. Who knows if I will ever hear from them. At this point, I don't care either way.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday! I am putting shelves up to finally unpack my books. Yay!! I need to read something :) Perhaps Nicholas Sparks first.

Wednesday, August 04, 2004

We put our mailbox up! I can now get mail. YAY!!! Send me stuff :)

Tuesday, August 03, 2004

Ok so I'm feeling whiney. I'm tired of moving. I want to go out and play. I want people to call me and invite me out. I don't want to have to always ask them... ya know? I need some love! Call me! See how I'm doing. Notice that we haven't talked in a while. Worry about me when you don't hear from me!! Is that too much to ask? Guh.
So yeah I know it is. It's silly. I just have times where I really want someone to call and ask me to hang out. I have a core group of friends and I am always the one to get us together. I don't want to be that person anymore. I want somone to call me and say "Hey, I planned this... can you go?" I know, it won't change. It's just nice to think about sometimes :)
Garage sale Thursday-Sunday.... The amount of stuff we have in our empty house to sell probably adds up to somebody's entire possesions! It's unbelievable!
It's hot. Too hot to move. Too hot to mow. Too hot to be in Texas right now. Who wants to visit?? :)
I get to go to Kelly's graduation party on Saturday. That should be fun. I can't wait to see her again. I wonder if Cara will be there!
I want a snowball. I haven't had one of those in so long! Yum. Ok, enough random. I'm going to bed!!

Monday, August 02, 2004

We did it!! Finally moved. We are finally living in Rockwall. My room is not even close to being finished :) I had to buy a $30 cord to even connect to the darned internet :) I've only been off the computer for 2 days and I feel like I am missing out on people's lives. We have so much stuff (I am typing randomly, huh? No order at all). It won't all fit!
So... we will be having a MAJOR garage sale this weekend back at our old house in Rowlett. Come buy stuff. We have everything you could ever think of! Well, almost. :) But we will have a ton of stuff. And it will be inside!!! So you won't even have to brave the heat!
On that note... back to unpacking (my second least favorite thing to do... after moving of course!!)
P.S. Thanks to Ben, Ryan, and Stacey for coming out to help us so early in the morning! We couldn't have done it in one day without you!
Email me!
