Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! It's almost the weekend. 4th of July. Yeah! And I have a renewal of the vows thing to go to on Saturday. I'm excited. Cara has moved to North Carolina but will be back for that. I can't wait to see her. :)
Saw that movie last night. It was pretty funny. It had me laughing quite a bit, but it had silly parts. There was a Cheetah that took them around for a while. Not so funny. A lot of the movie was about pot. And, of course, Whitecastle. Makes me want one. Yum. (one of the guys in the audience afterwards talked about how dumb Texas was for not having one. I think he talked for like 5 minutes about it. No question. Just saying we didn't have one. Poor actors. Had no clue what to say) Doogie Howser wasn't what I expected. Kinda bummed about that. The rest of the movie was good. We also at Freebirds last night for the first time. Slade met us there. It was yum. Not as yum as Chipotle (I know.. horrible to say) It was fun.
Now we get to the part where boys are crappy.
After the movie, Janie called the guy we were supposed to meet again. He was at Hooters and told us to come out there and we would go shoot some pool next door at Fox & Hound. So we did. She was driving and I knew she really wanted to meet him. (I just wanted to go to bed) We showed up at Hooters and he wouldn't come out to meet us. We had no idea where he was so we stood at the front feeling stupid. Sucked. He apparently told her to just go to Fox & hound and he would meet us. So at 10:00 we walk into fox & hound and order a drink. Put our names on the pool list. At 11 they tell us we have a pool table. (Stupid jerk still hasn't shown up). At 11:30 we leave. He still hasnt' called or shown up. Janie called every 5 minutes. Left him so many messages his inbox was full. On the way home she calls him and he answers his phone. He says he is just now leaving Hooters. Janie told him we were going home. He said "YOu should have come back next door to Hooters". Grr. Oh my gosh. I am so extremely pissed off at him for making us waste our time and for leading Janie on AGAIN.
Talked to him today for a few minutes. He kept insisting it was a communication issue. He apologized and said he didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. What do you think?
I don't feel good today. My head and throat hurt. I am still tired even though I slept late. I feel grumpy. Apparently not a good day for me.
I hope everyone's is better! :)
Boys are crappy sometimes.

Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle
I'm going to see that tonight. I can't wait. I think I found enough people to meet my 4 ticket quota (since that's how many free tickets I have). I can't wait! I get a free coke out of the deal. And Janie and I will be eating somewhere yummy on Greenville Ave somewhere. Mmm.
Last night we went to eat at On the Border. I had something I have never had before...Fajita Chicken Con Queso... oh. my. gosh. It was soo good. It might be my favorite food right now. I have half of it left and I can't WAIT to eat it. I think I need to make it a weekly thing. Yum! I cannot tell you how yum it was.
I'm hungry. Talking about food in the morning it bad. Makes me hungry. I think I will go eat my leftovers now. :)
I got a new flower for the bug. It's a lovely purple one. I want a bright yellow or blue one, I think. It needs a bath too. Anyone up for cleaning the Beetle?
Hope everyone had a great Monday!!

I have free movie tickets to see the premiere of Harold & Kumar go to White Castle. It's at the Loews Cityplace Theatre. Anyone want to join me? Anyone ? Anyone ?
Apparently the guys in it will be on hand afterwards for a Q&A. Why are they doing a Q&A in Dallas? So yeah, I have extra tickets and don't want to go alone. :)

It rained. And rained... and rained...No Village People for Jen. Boo. (although the movie, the Village is coming out soon... woohoo) Everyone else was pretty thrilled that we didn't have to go. We ended up putting flooring down at the house most of the day. Timmy did the breakfast nook, dad did thresholds, and Ryan did the study (all buy himself - he's awesome). We took the dogs out there to play and they were freaked out and awake all day.
Then it was off to Cici's for dinner (instead of yummy carnival food...mmmm... turkey leg). We went to a stand and bought our own fireworks to shoot off. We did that. Tim ran back and forth in his goofy mud boots lighting those things in the rain. It was pretty cool. Some of the ones we got were like real ones. We are going back to get more. Timmy and I are obsessed since we have never lived outside city limits before. We can shoot them ALL THE TIME if we want to. To celebrate any and all holidays! :) It was a good night.
Mom and I are off to see Yankee Doodle at the Music Hall. I hope its good. I'm still worn out from last night and how embarassing to start snoring in the middle of the show. Hopefully it will stop raining enough to have our double header today. If not, that is 5 games we have missed on Sunday. How will we make that many up before fall season starts? It's MADNESS I tell you, MADNESS.
Helie's back! Yeah! I missed her :)

Friday, June 25, 2004

I had to mow this morning. Bleh. I'm not used to it. It was pretty good exercise. I got some sweating and some burning calories done. It wasn't fun but I guess it wasn't bad. My lovely soft girl hands are hurting! :)
Then we did a lot of shopping. I got some nail polish. Yeah! I can't wait to try it out tonight. Our game was cancelled for tonight. (I may never get to play again) Silly rain. It's lightnening and thundering and stuff. I hope it clears up for the VILLAGE PEOPLE tomorrow night. I can't wait. And there will be fireworks! :)
Tim bought some the other day. We actually get to shoot them at our land... outside city limits. How fun! I can't wait to go buy some for myself too. Fireworks are awesome. :)
I really want a donut. Donuts are so bad. I love them. I also love Dublin Dr.Peppers. Mmmm. Sweet nectar.
I hope everyone had a great week! It's finally Friday! Woohoo. :)

Do these seriously work? How is that possible that those would really work? I thought the rule was... you drink too much... you pay for it later. Not, you drink too much... you take a pill and things are ok. ? And the pill is generally recognized as safe? So sometimes they are sometimes not? And they have a nearly free sample. Ha!

Test I created!
How well do you know me :) What was your score?

Yesterday was a great day! I went to DeSoto to meet Ryan for dinner and a movie. We ate at El Chico, again. (it's his favorite place) In DeSoto, there aren't many choices :) Then we went to see Dodgeball. That was a great movie. It had us cracking up! Can't wait until it comes out on DVD. So funny. It also makes me want to play some dodgeball. Is there really an obscure sports magazine? Are there dodgeball tournaments somewhere that I can get involved in?
Our softball game was cancelled again last Sunday. That now makes 3 we have to make up. Luckily on Fridays we have played all of them so far. We have won 1 out of 4. Not such a good record. :) I have fun, though. And since it is all about me....
I finished watching Buffy the other day. I guess they do a continual loop of the show from begining to end and then start over. I had never seen the last one, so I finally got to see it. Now I'm done with it. :)
I started watching Sex & the City since it is now on TBS instead of cable. It's great! I think I would like to rent all the seasons and just watch them all straight through. Have a marathon!
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!
Come see the Village People if you live in Texas.

I got a call to be a counselor at our camp this year. It's just a week long, but it should be fun. Nothing like telling me at the last minute, though :) It's in two weeks. Not a problem for me, though since I have no job yet. speaking of jobs, I called the temp lady but now apparently I have to call her again after the initial call. It's dumb. She just needs to give me a job! That's all there is to it.
Saved by the Bell is on tv right now. I loved that show growing up. I still kinda like it. I'm such a dork.
I get to go hang out in DeSoto tonight. It's a date :) Dinner and a movie. I haven't seen a movie in forever. I wonder which one I get to see. I'm excited! Can't wait.
Village People this weekend! So excited. And rides, food. It's what I'm looking forward to!

Yay! I would be in a movie with John Cusack. How fitting is that :) It's a great movie, too!

What movie Do you Belong in?(many different outcomes!)
brought to you by Quizilla

Happy Monday everyone. I hope everyone had a great weekend. We finished the closets and the floor in the living room! We are getting pretty close now. I think we will be able to move in on time.
Helen is gone for a week. She is who I tell everything too. Boo. I hope she has fun. I told Ryan he can't do anything dumb this week because I won't have Helen to gripe to :) Hee hee.
I get to call the temp agency today. So, I'm thinking.... why can't someone just offer me a job? Why do I have to go find one? I'm a good worker. I think someone will just show up on my doorstep. Yeah. I think I will wait for that to happen. ;)
I get to start back at Curves today! Jennifer is feeling better. We are going in the afternoons, though, because we have busy mornings. It will be fun. All I need now is a pool. Or someone to go to the lake with. I have yet to go to the lake. This summer has been taken over by house junk.
THE VILLAGE PEOPLE are coming to Rowlett on Saturday! I cannot wait!!! I am so excited. A blanket, some cards, my favorite people, and a fun band. Fun.
I am a freak. I know this. I love knowing the ends of books and movies before I see them. I'm not sure why, but I like it. I found the best website the other day. It tells you the whole movie! It's the most awesome place I have ever found! The Movie Spoiler
I'm going to WalMart today to get a pegboard. I read someone else's blog and they put peg board on a closet wall (or just hooks, really) to hang stuff on. She put her bras on it. I think I will put hats, purses, and belts. Cool!! I need to use every space I can.

Saturday, June 19, 2004

It's the weekend! Not that it means much to me, since I have to work at the house on the weekend. And since I don't have a job YET, every day is the weekend, kinda.
We had a double header last night. Lost them both. We had a fill in coach, and he did a really REALLY bad job of putting people in positions. The first basewoman was scared of the ball. The outfield couldn't throw the balls. He put my brother in Left Center for some reason. (Timmy always has played Left). I, of course, stayed at 3rd. I got to beat a couple people up when they came to my base. Not on purpose, but it was pretty fun. I also think I hyperextended my finger, but the soreness is slowly getting worked out.
Ryan and I went to BD's Mongolian BBQ last night. That place is so yum! I was so full when I finished. And we brought home cheesecake. Mmm mmm good. I was doing a secret shopping thing, so it was free. How great is that?!? They reimbursed us a $50.00 meal!
Poor little Bam hurt her leg today. She was limpy and crying but now is just walking a little gingerly on it. She went to get the mail with me (the highlight of their day) and I think she fell over Boo. My poor little baby is hurt.
I am sorting through my pajama pants today. And jeans. I had no idea I had like 40 pairs of pj pants. It's nuts! I need to wear them more often! I need more room in my .. room. :)
Have a great Fathers day! Remember how cool our daddies are. I got mine tickets to see the Rangers when they play the Yankees. Very fun! And a shirt that matches my Ranger shirt. He'll love it.

I have a wedding tonight!! Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. :) I'm excited. Weddings rock!

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

I am worth $1,848,658.00. Pretty good, huh? How much are you guys worth?
Happy Tuesday! I had an interview with a headhunter type place yesterday. i just call in and they give me jobs. Sounds like a great deal to me. :)
I got to go to Arlington with John to get tickets for dad. I am giving him tickets to the Rangers vs Yankees for Fathers Day. I spent $40 on tickets worth $80. We are 4th row on the end (I like being on the end because I have to pee a lot) and sitting right behind the Rangers bullpen.
We also hung out at at 6 flags for a while. Stupid me wore flip flops and now has blisters. It was fun, though. Didn't do much. Rode the mine train and saw a show.
Then we met up with Jeremy for dinner at Steak n Shake. It was yum. Good times.
Tonight I had a small change of plans. I think I will be seeing Zeb tonight for a little while since he is in town. He lives in Oklahoma City and is visiting while he is training for a new job. It'll be nice to catch up for a while.
Tomorrow is a wedding with Ryan. I can't wait. I love weddings. :) Hanging out with Ryan ain't bad either.

Sunday, June 13, 2004

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did!
We won our game on Friday. We had a guy who could actually pitch! It was great. He is a member of our church and used to play on the church guys softball team. He is also my dentist. Weird. It was good having him there. He is really good. And so nice and considerate and smiled the whole time! Always smiling! I guess because he's a dentist ;)
Saturday Ryan came over and we all went to the land to work. We finished up my closet. I know have poles and shelves and stuff in there. It's exciting. Dad got help with the floor. He REALLY liked that. We went to a wedding after that. It was my best friend in junior high/high school's sister. It was a good wedding. Sad because the groom's grandfather had died that morning. How horrible! I can't imagine how hard that was for everyone. We had to wait a LONG time before they came down to the reception. Then we waited for them to dance a LONG time before we could eat or cut the cake or anything. I think it was almost a 4 hour thing. Longest wedding I have ever been to. I didn't mind. I love going to weddings! I think I might even have mine all planned out. I don't know why I'm such a sucker for weddings. Silly, I guess.
Back to the land to work today. Had a double header, but it was postponed. We didn't know until we got to the fields (bummer). The kiddos had a tournament yesterday that was rained out, so they moved it to today. So we have to make that up soon. I hate missing a game. Makes me sad.
I have a fun head hunter interview tomorrow morning. I need some temp stuff until I can get my LPC-I license up and going. Then I can find a Counseling job (hopefully!) Being a grown up is no fun.
It was nice having a real date this weekend. Even though it didn't work out as we planned. I really liked it. It will be nice, one day, to not have to worry about the long drive home. To be able to just fall asleep watching movies and know that the drive is only a short distance. 20-30 minutes, even. I know, I shouldn't gripe. I'm just saying. I thought it was a perfect day, though. It's nice to have friends who care so much. :) Yeah for my friends!!

Felicity Season 3 Holy Cow! They are killing me making me wait this long. By the time the whole series is out, I will have forgotten what is was about! Or I will be too old to care! :)
Well, today Cory and I are going to eat at Chipotle today. We were going to go yesterday, but neither one of us felt good. I think El Chico tried to poison me. Ryan felt ick also. So it wasn't just me! Cory only have 7 more treatments left. How exciting! Then hopefully he will be all better and the cancer will never return!
We have another butt-kicking tonight at 7. We really need a pitcher. You can't walk 20 people and expect to win. It just won't work. No matter how good anyone hits (and I know I don't hit well).
(for those that read this already... I decided to change it a little) It's only because I jump back and forth on the issue and I am ok with it one minute and not ok with it the next. I can't make up my mind! As with everything, I guess. I am trying really hard, though. So I will just *try* to go with the flow and enjoy things.
I got Wonder Sand at K*B Toys the other day. I used to love that stuff when I was a kid. I can't wait to play with it. Maybe I will try it out this weekend! Woohoo.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Boys are confusing. I guess that's just a fact of life.
Last night was fun. I had wanted to go to a Ranger game, but this darned rain just won't end. And apparently it really only rains at night because it was fine here during the day. So we ended up going to eat at the mall. El Chico to be more specific. It was pretty tasty. We split nachos and then split a Mexican Apple Pie... yum. Then we walked around the mall for a while to digest. I, of course, had to pee twice after dinner. Always seems that when I eat a lot I have to pee two or three times in a row. Is there some sort of buildup? We drew attention to ourselves by acting silly at the mall. It was great!
Oh, and I got some delicious smelling lotion. Can't wait to wear it! Only $5.00. What a deal. :)
Today I hope to go see Cory. He is out of the hospital after treatments last week. We are either going to eat (if he feels up to eating) or just hanging out. Maybe I will bring some games. He would probably kick my butt at Trivial Pursuit - he's super smart.
We have electricity at the land now! Woohoo. Hello lights. Hello air conditioning. So awesome.
Help me Fall by Mark Wills is a great song!

The gang in front of Wizards
He will be missed. I read the book "I love you, Ronnie" that was mainly letters that he had written to Nancy and I have a newfound respect for him.

I signed up for this a while back after my friend Jeremy told me about it. I thought it would be kinda fun. Hope there aren't many mean people out there who leave 1s for everyone. Nobody is that bad... are they?

This has been a busy weekend. Softball started Friday. I play on Fridays and Sundays now. We lost our game Friday BIG TIME. We were run-ruled 21-1. We won tonight. It was great. I think it was 10-3. We kicked butt. It was nice to actually win a game. Although, I was injured in the process. I was 3rd and the ball was coming right at me. Well, pitcher was running for it also (I didn't see him) and he ran right into me. OUCH! Pitcher is a BIG GUY. He hurt the left side of my ribs and my armpit and my boobage ;) It's still hurting. Hopefully it will be better by tomorrow so I can put in my days at Curves.
We went out with Helen and Cory on Saturday night. That was so fun! I had a blast. We ate at Cheddars and then went to play pool at Wizards. Helen had a little drinking problem and ended up with a Tidal Wave. We got to catch up and just chat. It had been a while. I hope we get to do that again soon. Ryan even had fun! Yeah! :)
Today I spent the day grouting the floors with mom. That is tough. Especially with no air conditioning STILL. Seems like our house builder/seller is completely slacking. Well, doesn't just seem like it, he IS slacking. It's my uncle, so that presents a problem for us. We haven't had an open house for weeks and we have no fliers in our little flier tube. We also are still not on the house listing site with a picture. And we have no electricity, plumbing, doorknobs, floors at our new house. We close on June 30th. It's making everyone nervous!
I want some ferrets. I got those pics from Warweasels xanga site. Aren't they cute? I think I will ask for one for my birthday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did! :)

So many John Cusack movies, so little money. I want both RUNAWAY JURY and IDENTITY. Those are great movies!
I have great pic of Bambi up after she got her hair cut today. Isn't she cute. The next pic is of a super cool shirt I just got. Here's the link.
SHREK 2 was hilarious. It had so many little jokes and stuff within the movie, that I would have to see it again to catch it all. It was great! Everyone should see it. Funny thing happened while we were there... Ryan got gum stuck to his leg. I don't know how you get gum on your leg. Or how you don't notice it, but it was all over the back of his leg. He has a nice little bald patch now. Pretty funny. This time it wasn't me doing something stupid for once!
I hate cramps. I hate them. Boys are pretty lucky that they don't get them. It hurts so bad, my legs hurt too! Not only do I get cramps, but it kinda screws up my whole body. I spend lots more time in the bathroom during this fun week. I guess my system is working overtime. Who knows. I just don't like it at all.
We start softball tonight. I am playing on Fridays (because it is free) and Sundays (because that's when we usually play). Timmy may not play sundays, but I still wanted to play both. I love playing. I hope I get to play infield now that we have a different coach. Our game is at 10:00 tonight. Kinda a late game! Wish us luck :)
I get to see Helie tomorrow night. That will be fun. We always have a good time when we go out. I think it's because we are alot alike. We just get along really well. And laugh at the same stuff and it's just cool. I'm excited. Our "dates" will be joining us as well. Should be fun. Cheddar's and bowling.

Thursday, June 03, 2004

Hope everyone made it through all of those crazy storms. We didn't get much of it, but I know Helen got a lot the night before last. And poor Ryan was stranded in Oklahoma City when his plane was not allowed to land in DFW. He missed his flight on the way to Indiana... just wasn't a good flying weekend for him. I had to leave Brandon's early to be home before the hail and junk. It wasn't too bad. I like hail.
I am so tired today. Not sad anymore, though. :) That may have been related to being lonely. Jenn and I worked out at Curves for the third day in a row today! I'm so proud of myself. I hope I can keep it up. My muscles are super tired today. More than usual and I don't know whats up with that.
The whole gang (mom, dad, Tim, Stacey, Ryan & me) are going to see SHREK 2 tonight. I can't wait. And now the only movie left is THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. I can't wait to see that.
Hope everyone is having a grrrreat Thursday!

I love this poem! I heard it several years ago and I still think it's great.
I'm feeling kinda sad today. Not sure why. I am not working on the house today, so that should be a plus. We are going to Curves later and I get to hang out with Brandon (who I haven't seen in months) It should be a good day. I need to get happy!! :)

after a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning and company doesn’t always mean security
and you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts and presents aren’t promises and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead with the grace of an adult
not the grief of a child and you learn to build all of your roads on today because tomorrows ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight after a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much so you plant your own garden and decorate your won soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers and you learn that you really can endure that you really are strong and you really do have worth and you learn and you learn with every goodbye you learn
